A Shining Example of Moral Courage

Lt. Gen. Benjamin Mixon

“After a top-level public scolding over his remarks on the military’s policy regarding gays, the commander of U.S. Army Pacific issued a terse “no comment” yesterday from his headquarters at Fort Shafter.

“Lt. Gen. Benjamin Mixon, one of a few military leaders to publicly denounce the repeal of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, received a double-barreled blast yesterday from Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The intemperate language that Adm. Mullen, singling out Gen. Mixon for public criticism, suggests that the Chairman is only interested in hearing opinions that agree with his own. As Sen. John McCain, the President and the Chairman do not get to make or repeal laws by “fiat.”

Happy to see there are men still walking the earth that have moral integrity!

Would that more would take a stand like Lt. Gen. Benjamin Mixon. He can count on my full support and prayers.

The treasonous opportunists are stifling the world with their poisonous and cowardly “politically correct” policies.

Their “clever” strategy in answer to pressure from the enemy is to give in a little (in this case not so little) in order not to lose everything. They will end by sacrificing their honor and losing everything else…

I pray God save our military and the good people of our nation.

      Sincerely,
      Joseph G Ferrara
